Unit Background:

By the side of the kings of Macedonia often stand guards known as "Companions," They are noble-born and fiercely loyal. The king regarded them as brothers and sisters, not as mere subordinates. Each "Companion" will follow their king anywhere, until the king passes or the very last drop of blood is shed.

The majority of the "Companion" cavalry are born of nobility; hence they often bear the finest equipment: riding swift steeds, wielding the lethal lance, and resorting to sharp swords once their lances are broken in combat. Under the banner of the conquering king, these units become an unparalleled elite force, playing a pivotal role on the battlefield. Poets have likened the king's tactics to a "hammer and anvil": if the infantry units holding the line in a tug-of-war with the enemy are the "anvil," the Companion cavalry are the "hammer," Searching for any opportunity to exploit the enemies' weaknesses and shattering them with a single decisive charge. After several rounds of hammer strikes, even the mightiest of foes will crumble. In the grand Eastern conquest, this legion has accompanied the conquering king all the way to the ends of the world.

Battle Style:

They are the most loyal companions of Alexander, playing a crucial role in his tactics. Often launching flank attacks on enemy formations with the king, they draw immense inspiration simply by being by his side, enhancing their combat abilities significantly.

Companions Cavalry are also highly skilled in guerrilla tactics, utilizing dual weapons to adapt to various battle scenarios. Their exceptional flexibility allows them to engage at the right moment, creating significant advantages for their side with their high burst damage.

Unit Traits:

  • King's Army: For the duration of the Alexander: The Supreme season, this unit's Leadership cost is reduced by 10 points.
  • Mounted Spearblade: [Storm Pound] lodges a spear in the target. Companion Cavalry cannot remove this spear; instead, they switch to short swords once it has been lost. Enemies pierced by their spears will suffer 1% of their current health bleeding over 10 seconds. Cavalry refreshes their
    equipment and regains their lost spears upon reaching a Supply point.
  • Sworn GuardCompanion Cavalry immediately gain the "Ally" effect within [30m] around the hero. Their movement speed is increased by 10%, damage taken is reduced by 12%, and the recovery rate is increased to 100/2 seconds. The Companion Cavalry's damage and movement speed increase over time while remaining near your hero, reaching the maximum effect after 15 seconds. This effect disappears if they move too far from the hero for 2 seconds (calculated individually for each soldier). Whenever an active skill ends, they return to following the hero.
  • Imperial StormhammerThe Companion Cavalry forms the core of the army's hammer and anvil tactics. They charge through the battlefield, striking hard at the enemy's flanks with hero to surround and annihilate their targets.


  • Dispersed: A loose formation that reduces unit vulnerability to ranged weapons.
  • Wedge: A wedge formation where the commander is situated at the back.

Unit Orders:

  • Gale Strike: The Companion Cavalry rushes to their target and lays waste around them with their spears.
    Base cooldown: 15 seconds.
    Base duration: 6 seconds.
  • Storm Pound: The Companion Cavalry rushes to their target and leaps from their mounts, striking from above. The impact from their mounts knock enemies down while their spears pierce their enemies, whereupon they draw their blades and fight for 20 seconds.
    Base cooldown: 20 seconds.
    Global cooldown: 6 seconds.
    Base duration: 7 seconds.
  • Zephyr Blade: Maintains a defensive stance while lashing out with sword attacks to protect your hero. Begins retreating toward the hero if far away, attacking enemies along the way.
    Base cooldown: 20 seconds.
    Global cooldown: 4 seconds.
    Base duration: 6 seconds.

  • The Soldier's Life (1):  Each level increases health by 240 points.

Top Path:

  • Cold Blood (3): Each level increases piercing armour penetration by 5%.
  • Rushing Thunder (3):  Each level increases piercing defence by 3%.
  • Thick Armour (3):  Each level increases slashing defence by 3%.
  • War Machine (3):  Each level reduces [Gale Strike]'s cooldown by 1 second.
  • Pursue (3): [Storm Pound] now also slows for 30 seconds. Each level slows the enemy's movement speed by 15%.
  • Melee Attack (3):  Each level increases piercing damage by 2%.
  • Razor-Sharp (3): Each level increases [Gale Strike]'s block break damage by 20%.
  • Achilles' Spear (1):  [Storm Pound] now also inflicts bleed, dealing 1.5% of health as damage every second for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times.

Bottom Path:

  • Hone (3): Each level increases slashing armour penetration by 5%.
  • Rushing Thunder (3):  Each level increases piercing defence by 3%.
  • Thick Armour (3): Each level increases slashing defence by 3%.
  • Blade Edge (3): Deals increased damage for 10 seconds after switching to short swords. Each level increases the damage by 5%.
  • Open Ground (3): Each level reduces [Zephyr Blade)'s cooldown by 1 second.
  • Bloodbath (3): Each level increases slashing damage by 2%.
  • Spirited Horse (3):  Using [Zephyr Blade) against an enemy hit by [Storm Pound] with a spear in them increases damage. Each level increases damage by 10%.
  • Achilles' Wings (1): Increases movement speed by 20% and the charge damage of [Imperial Stormbolt] by 100%.
