Reforging & Repairing

Once you’ve created your initial set of armour, the next step is reforging. This process upgrades your existing armour, improving its base stats beyond those of the original item.
Reforged items are always stronger than their non-reforged versions. In fact, even a Blue reforged item will outperform a Gold item that hasn’t been reforged.
Your First Reforge
To begin Reforging items, you will need to reach level 60 and collect some Artificer's Stones along with Schematics. Go to the Artisan in any fief, and you can select the item you want to reforge.
Once you start the reforge, you will be presented with two options. Keep your existing item or replace it with the Reforged Item.

If you keep the item, the rarity chances will continue to grow.

If you take the Reforged Item, it will reset the values to their default.
When you are first reforging, always choose the Reforged Item. Then you can reforge the Reforged Item and try for the stat values you are aiming for. I would recommend first trying to get a full set of Reforged armour and then starting with your chest piece, and try to get a leadership roll.
When is Leadership important?
The Leadership stat is one of the most sought-after stats when Reforging. You can get a maximum of 25 Leadership on any Armour Piece. Once you get a leadership stat roll, make sure to lock the stat reforging to prevent it from going down. Once locked, the stat will only increase.
For your primary siege gear, a high leadership score can help you bring multiple top-tier units into battle with you.
During Territory Wars, however, stats are more important than leadership, as you rarely will switch your units, and each unit slows you down in the open field. You only get one life in Territory Wars, so there's rarely a point to having 4 units or 3 gold units when you could have more hero removal power.
I typically advise people to go for leadership on their Rare Schematics Armour sets and go for Stat Values, Defenses, and Health on their Epic Schematic sets.
Repairing Armour
In addition to improving armour, reforging also serves as a way to repair your armour. Every time you reforge a weapon or armour their durability is restored.
